We have the perfect match for you! Our client in the medical equipment industry is currently looking for a production manager for its medical manufacturer in Dorval! No need to explain why the company is expanding and striving since last year. This position could be the successor for the General Manager role within three years.
Production manager would be responsible for the achievement of occupational health and safety, quality, and production objectives and report directly to the General Manager. The Production Manager must have the ability to combine day-to-day management and industrial strategy in order to reconcile immediate imperatives with the company’s long-term objectives. He or she has an excellent understanding of health and safety and regulatory issues, none of which should be overlooked in the management of the facility. Excellent interpersonal skills at all levels, with employees, subordinates, managers, administrators and suppliers. Excellent rapport with management to ensure that management is kept informed of all site activities on a regular basis.
Education and training:
**Experience as Production Manager in medical, textile or food industry is a great asset**
• 5+ years experience as a Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineer
• 2+ years of experience leading people in a production environment
• Bilingual English & French
Main Tasks:
• In charge of the entire organization and coordination of production (safety, planning, methods, manufacturing, production, maintenance, quality and warehousing);
• Defines and implements production objectives. Analyses the annual production capacity and compares it with the company’s commercial forecasts;
• Identifies the main levers of action to optimize production: production capacity, quality, human resources;
• Proposes improvements which will allow in the short, medium or long term to improve production performance;
• Defines and publishes a daily monitoring of performance indicators to assess the proper
functioning of the production chain: productivity, scrap rates, absenteeism, inventory, annual volumes;
• Synthesizes and explains the data for management; organizes and optimizes the implementation of production:
• By setting and communicating the production objectives in terms of cost, quality and deadlines to be achieved, as well as the internal operating rules;
• By ensuring the smooth running of the entire production chain: supply, planning, logistics, manufacturing, maintenance.
