Function summary
Production Artist manager to oversee our art sizing department and color separation department.
The production artist manager will hold a technical position with an artistic view of the production. The production artist manager will work closely with the designers and art directors to execute the design and with production department to follow the schedule. This is an incredible opportunity for an experienced production artist. In this versatile role, you will participate in various projects and activities in support of the creative team. You will gain exposure to a wide variety of art styles and products.
Responsibilities and main tasks

  • Manage full-time and freelance staff
  • Assigning and prioritizing workload
  • Prepare the approval sheet for licensor approval
  • Maintain record of licensing approval status and follow-up
  • Build and prepare art kits using Illustrator and/or photoshop, in accordance with production specifications
  • Insure to follow each licensor and customer requirements
  • Collaborate with the merchandising team regarding sizing, print technique and other embellishment
  • Work closely with the production department to confirm job specifications and timing on assigned work
  • Organize and maintain archives of all work
  • Approving pre-prod sample and production done domestically. If correction are required, suggesting solution with minimum delays.

Education and Experience
Required:

  • College Degree in fashion design or a University certificate in fashion design
  • 2 years of experience in similar positions
  • 3-5 years of experience in the fashion industry
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail a must
  • Excellent project management
  • Solid knowledge of print production with a working understanding of color separation
  • Must thrive in a fast-paced environment with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously against multiple timelines.
  • Collaborative and creative problem solver with excellent communication skills
  • Ability to read and assimilate specs sheet and gradation
  • Leadership

Knowledge
Required:
Technical Tools

  • Excellent level in Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Intermediate level in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook)
