The ideal candidate has an active license to practice Nursing in Nebraska, AND holds a Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Nursing.
This person should have experience dealing with repetitive motion injuries and comfortable working in a plant setting.
This person will also need to be familiar with safety guidelines, OSHA regulations and protocols, and comfortable leading presentations to the plant workers.
This position is responsible for providing nursing oversight to the health services staff and serving as an occupational healthcare provider according to established policies, procedures, and protocols.
This position will also be responsible for facilitating communications with other management team members to improve the health and safety of employees, coordinating and managing the worker’s compensation claims process, ensuring compliance with OSHA mandated programs and record keeping requirements, and leading general wellness efforts.
Duties:
Supervise, develop, and provide day-to-day support to licensed practical nurse and RN Staff
Manage Workplace Injury Response and Worker’s Compensation
Liaison between external healthcare professionals, employees, and management to facilitate communication and ensure compliance
Develop and Manage Workplace Wellness Initiatives
Collaborate with HR on FMLA, Short-term Disability, Medical Leave Process
Experience:
Knowledge and/or 2 years of management experience in a health care setting
Experience with OSHA, Worker’s Compensation, and HIPAA regulations
Computer experience with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook)
Ability to learn and adapt to change quickly
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees
Ability to solve complex problems within parameters of governmental, medical, and company regulations, policies, procedures, and practices
Ability to adapt to the individual needs of a multicultural workforce
Ability to work a flexible schedule
Occupational Health Certification
Background in Worker’s Compensation case management
Bilingual in Spanish
Familiarity with FMLA, ADA regulations
