Our client (a leader in the Aerospace Industry) is looking for a Buyer that learns quickly, takes the ball and runs with it, asks appropriate questions and is interested in the Aerospace Industry.

Must be able to provide delivery assurance and cost management and use their experience and industry leading tools to ensure 100% on-time delivery and quality. 

 

You will also prepare Request for Quotes (RFQ), participate in negotiations and issue purchase orders in a timely manner. 

 

You will attend supplier watch list and program material status meetings as required.

Time management skills and the ability to handle high volumes of work in a fast paced environment are essential.  

BA/BS in Supply Chain Management or related field and 2+ years of related experience is required.  

MA/MS in Supply Chain Management or related field plus 0-2+ years of experience is preferred.

Thorough knowledge of Supply Chain processes is required.
– Advanced understanding of contract structure, business terms and conditions.
– Must be proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Project and MRP/ERP systems.
– Must possess thorough knowledge of Project Management.
– Will be able to work well in a team environment and be highly motivated.
– Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
– Strong people/interpersonal and communication skills
– Excellent organization skills
– Ability to work independently, work well under pressure and have the ability to deal with ambiguity.
 
Preferred Experience:
– Experience in the Aerospace industry.
– SAP proficiency.
– Knowledge of Continuous Improvement
