Our client is well known in the food industry and is renowned for their biscotti. This great company is looking for a meticulous quality assurance technician to join their team. The previous employee is leaving on maternity. Therefore, this is a 12-month contract. However, there is the possibility of becoming permanent at the end of the contract. The technician will be working directly with the Quality Assurance Manager. This position will be 50% floor and 50% administrative work. This person will be in charge of: 

• Performing task verifications and inspections according to SQF/ HACCP program
• Investigating product/process quality issues and initiate preventative and corrective actions
• Ensuring employees operate within guidelines and provide feedback where appropriate
• Performing operational inspections (inclusive Food Safety and Quality)
• Ensuring Critical Control Point (CCP) is respected as indicated in the company’s HACCP Plan
• Verifying records (Quality system checks and inspections, production records, etc.)
• Analyzing and maintain the quality of all products, as per set procedures
• Other related tasks
