Identify seasonal color palette and key item for each category.
Create looks for each delivery that will exemplify the story and ensure the balance in the mix of product.
Attend design fittings.
Ensure multiple outfitting options are offered in each delivery.
Seek out new opportunities for brand extension.
Work with the design team to create balanced assortments.
Research emerging trends and styles to formulate strategies for projected lines including color and line direction.
Provide innovative designs and concepts to strengthen brand image and maintain competitive edge.
Participate in the strategic development process and recognize consumer needs and the need to fulfill them with marketable, profitable solutions.
College degree in Design.
5 years of experience in a similar role as Designer for Men’s or Men’s Merchandiser.
Proficient skills in Illustrator, In Design, Photoshop, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Ability to prioritize and manage workload according to deadline.
Be aware of the fashion trends / market.
Demonstrate high taste level and creative ability with strong commercial knowledge with technology and fit understanding.
Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
A team player.
Bilingual (English and French) is a strong asset.
