Our Montreal based manufacturing client is looking for a Domestic Production Manager to join their growing team. The main role is to organize and oversee the manufacturing of their knitwear products. They will be responsible for the smooth running of all production lines and the quality of output. The ideal candidate will have a complete and demonstrated knowledge of production procedures, with the ability to direct personnel towards maximum performance. 

Responsibilities:

Organize workflow to meet specifications and deadlines
Estimate costs prepare budgets and monitor performance against targets
Monitor production to resolve issues
Determine the necessary resources required (workforce, machine time, raw materials etc.) to meet the production targets and budgets.
Ensure output meets quality standards, send in license approvals
Work closely with suppliers, printers and national accounts

Process paperwork – ASN, shipping notifications, transport arrangements

Proven experience as a domestic production manager
Understanding of quality standards and health & safety regulations

Knowledge of performance evaluation and budgeting concepts
Experience in reporting on key production metrics
Demonstrated abilities in the use of MS Office and ERP software
Outstanding communication ability (French and English)
Excellent organizational and leaderships skills
Strong decision-making skills and a results-driven approach
