Product Coordinator

The Product Coordinator has the responsibility for the coordination of company products and samples. Some of the responsibilities include 

Main Duties:  
This position is mostly data entry  –  entering new styles in the system
1. Proceed with the opening of all new styles and prepack in our JDE system;
2.Accurately maintain the product database and merchandise lists;
3.Prepare the technical package and specification sheet for all assigned products;
4.Review first samples and responsible of providing the first comments on new development to the Merchandising team;
5.Communicate with supplier all samples approval and corrections required;
6.Send new purchase orders along with spec sheets and packaging artwork to factory;
7.Act as a point of contact for factories regarding product order inquiries;
8.Proceed to the approval of all the elements of an order, in collaboration with all other departments involved and remaining on schedule;
9.Assist in the preparation of the new product line presentation every season;
10.Follow and forward all quality control test results required by some of our customers;
11.Ensure that each order respects our quality standards;
12.Follow up on all new product samples requests from beginning of the process until the final approval, in collaboration with our Sourcing department;
13.Perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs.
  
Criteria:
1.Minimum 2 years’ experience as product coordinator, import coordinator or a similar role;
2.Experience in the retail sector is a definite asset;
3.Must be interested in the technical aspect of the product;
4.Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to work with diverse groups of people;
5.Ability to multitask and to work under pressure;
6.Ability to change priorities quickly and to make decisions;
7.Strong organizational skills, with superior attention to detail.
8.Must be proficient with Microsoft Office, most notably Excel;
9.Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite is an asset;
10.Bilingual: English and French (written and verbal);
11.Respect timelines;
12.Excellent organizational skills;
13.Available for overtime during peak period
