Our Montreal based manufacturing client is looking for a Domestic Production and Logistics Manager to join their growing team. The main role is to organize and oversee the manufacturing of their knitwear products. They will be responsible for the smooth running of all production lines and the quality of output. The ideal candidate will have a complete and demonstrated knowledge of production procedures, with the ability to direct personnel towards maximum performance.

Responsibilities:

-Buy blank tees from our 4 suppliers based on orders and manage blank inventory

-Plan production

-Work with screen printers for graphic production

-Work with artist and separation company for art kits and to ensure separations are correct. Currently this is only 25% of the business as I have arrangements for finished artworks and separations for the other 75% of the business.

-Work with 3rd party processors to ensure national accounts procedures are followed

-Work with our warehouse for independent and online orders. Our warehouse is staffed with an individual that does the pick and pack.

-Make appointments for shipping and fill out proper documentation

-Print out and/or order box labels required for shipments

-Order price tickets

-Arrange transport and appointment when samples are approved to ship to retailer. Send in ASN

-Send approval samples to retailers and to licensors when required

-Help manage and replenish or discontinue finished stock

-Enter sales orders, pull picks, and have the accounting manager invoice and/or run invoices

Requirements:

Proven experience as a domestic production manager
Understanding of quality standards and health & safety regulations

Knowledge of performance evaluation and budgeting concepts
Experience in reporting on key production metrics
Demonstrated abilities in the use of MS Office and ERP software
Outstanding communication ability (French and English)
Excellent organizational and leaderships skills
Strong decision-making skills and a results-driven approach
