Looking for a Freelance Ladies Designer

• Create and execute the Design in Ladies sportswear/women’s Apparel
• Clearly articulate design vision, strategy and plans to the Leadership Team
• Create patterns, mock-ups and prototypes to explore or prove new concepts or construction techniques
• design concept, fabrication, trims, proto-typing, patterns, fit, construction, pre-production sample approval
• Create partnerships with material research and product development to ensure successful design execution
• Collaborate with Brand on product story telling
• Maintain up to date product illustrations throughout the development process
• Provide detailed product initiations to Product Development: spec drawings, pattern/ fit direction and fabric information
• Ensure designs meet Visual Line Plans, assortment strategies and overall creative direction
• Assist with current product design changes where necessary to address in-line production issues
• 5-10 years of performance sportswear apparel industry experience
• Excellent Illustrator, InDesign and CAD skills
• Hand sketching skills are a plus
• Strong working knowledge of garment construction, fit and patterns
