Responsibilities:

Establish a strategic plan to achieve the financial goals of the department  Focus on the consumer, brand vision and business needs to build and drive key seasonal brand and product stories  Developing innovative ideas, new products and new concepts as well as optimizing existing product lines  Analyze the performance of all its categories and take actions accordingly  To keep abreast of the competition, market trends, and defines the direction mode with buyers, the design department and product development  Look for opportunities to increase sales, improve margins, optimize inventory  Work In partnership with various departments to ensure alignment and focus on key strategies to support the objectives of the division  Visit Stores on a regular basis  Develop and edit tech packs, documenting fit comments, specs and bill of materials.  Manage flow of information related to fit process, such as tracking samples, update tech log, preparing fit list, and preparing comments for the factories that will be passed to their import co-ordination partners.

Be able to fit and correct garments in a fitting, and translate those corrections to patterns and/or comments

Organize and maintain data history (samples and patterns)

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Required:

Certificate in Fashion Design or Technical Design or equivalent

 A Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in the swim industry

 Experience in developing products

 Strong Leadership skills, communication and coaching a team

 Strategic partnership oriented towards and results and building partnerships

 Strong organization, problem solving and decision making

Strong understanding of merchandising

Up to date with current fashion trends

 Knowledge of garment construction methods

 Knowledge of structural and decorative trims

Adaptive to a multi-tasked environment

Pattern Drafting and Draping skills

Ability to evaluate fit problems

Understanding of Grade Rules

Excellent Knowledge of Illustrator and Photoshop CS5

Intermediate level in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook
