One of the leading apparel firms in the industry is looking for a Director of Production to add to their Sourcing and Production Department! Working directly under the VP of Sourcing and Production, this candidate will lead a team responsible for the entire production process. In alignment with the company’s goals, the Director of Production will approve products, manage purchase orders, and work closely with suppliers. 
 
Responsibilities: 

  • Manage a team of 10 to 12 employees: production coordinators, fit technicians and technical artists
  • Hire and manage a domestic production planning coordinator
  • Manage a team of 4 QC in Bangladesh
  • Develop and control schedules and work flow procedures
  • Manage the production process
  • Implement procedures and protocols related to production
  • Follow-up on Walmart, Gt, Winners and speciality customer approvals
  • Manage the Quality Assurance process ( locally and internationally)
  • Ensure timely on-boarding and supplier acceptance process
  • Coordinate supplier training that meets our production and compliance
    standards
  • Troubleshoot and problem solve production and delivery issues
  • Monitor and report on supplier performance by using innovative ideas to improve production process, our fits and pattern library
  • Work closely with the sales team and designers to insure deliveries and
    quality are achieved

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of experience in Production
  • Strong knowledge of fabrics, yarn, and garment construction
  • Proficient with Adobe Office Softwares
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience using data to make informed decisions
  • Strong leadership skills as well as proven communication and persuasive or influential competencies
  • Track record in project management, known for a proactive approach, attention to detail, collaborative mindset, capacity to troubleshoot and problem solve in an efficient manner
  • Ability to manage many projects at the same time
  • Deliver quality products with respect to deadlines
