Our Pointe-Claire based, womenswear import client, is looking for a Patternmaker to join their team. They are an extremely successful company that is constantly expanding and offering their employees new and exciting opportunities. Responsibilities: 

To be the link between your own teams and the designers and/or merchandiser. This in order to ensure a good interpretation of style details as well as production details on the garments.
Ensure that the fitting standards of the various collections are well understood and well applied by pattern makers.
Plan and manage the fitting sessions on professional models
Ensure follow-up on orders and the respect of delivery deadlines
Ensure that communication with overseas suppliers is made in a regular and effective way
Keep teams well informed of quality standards to be respected

Perform Grading

Create and modify specification sheets

8+ years’ experience in a senior pattern making (and pattern corrections) role
Excellent knowledge of at least one pattern making software (PAD System would be preferable)
Excellent knowledge of garment construction and fitting
Excellent organizational skills & ability to prioritize a variety of tasks/requests
Strong interpersonal skills
Critical thinking and detail oriented
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and handle pressure

Experience in importing
Proficient in Excel and Microsoft programs
Bilingual: English and French
