Our client, an importer of high end men’s sportswear, is looking for a talented Senior Product Developer to join their team!
 
 
Responsibilities:

– Work with Designer Director on sourcing, development and approval of fabrics, lab dips, trims and email comments to suppliers
– Keep organized folders of approvals, standards and seasonal fabric references
– Work with designer to maintain an organized library of fabrics – running items, new developments and R&D projects
– Assist with various design and development related tasks as assigned by Design Director
– Write to suppliers on various issues including general information requests
– Initiate contact with possible new suppliers under guidance of Design Director
– Research new suppliers
– Act as liaison between marketing and design teams to send samples for photoshoots, fill in product description sheets for customers
 
 
Requirements:

– Knowledge of English, written and spoken
– 5+ years experience
– Working knowledge of textiles
– Proficiency with Excel and Word
– Knowledge of Illustrator and Photoshop a plus
– Good communication skills, both written and verbal
– Ability to meet deadlines
– Accurate and precise attention to detail
– Excellent sense of organization
