Our client, an importer of women’s denim and casual clothing, is looking for a Fit and Spec Technician with experience in denim. They will attend fit sessions, submit fit and preproduction samples and follow up until final approvals for production. 

Responsibilities:
– Assist the Fit Director in developing new pattern blocks
– Assist design team to define standards, construction and sewing details for prototypes.
– Measure, record fit comments, and establish corrections during fit sessions for prototypes, fit samples, revised fit samples, preproduction samples, TOP samples and bulk production samples 
– Assist in the approval and sign off of all preproduction samples
– Contribute in the grading process for styles

Work with the Fit Director to:
– Analyze measurements of bulk production reports and provide comments
for final sign off
– Approve bulk production, with the QA director and VP Merchandising & Global Sourcing
– Analyze customer/sale associate fit complaints, make recommendations and implement required adjustments
 
 
Requirements:
– Minimum 7+ years’ experience in apparel industry.
– Proficient in Excel & Illustrator
– Experience & strong knowledge of fabrics, garment construction, cut & sew and sweaters.
– Excellent communication and interaction skills.
– Self-motivated, detail oriented and highly organized.
– Bilingual English & French.
– Ability to work in a fast-paced environment & be production oriented with ability to identify, analyze and resolve fit issues.
– The ability to work easily within a team.
