Our client located in the heart of Westmount, is looking to add a hands-on and strategic Controller/Office Manager to their dynamic Industrial/Commercial real estate company. This firm offers a great “family style” environment, benefits and a competitive salary.
Responsibilities:
– Assist Management in strategic decision-making and be part of the executive team.
– Prepare financial reports for Management and Auditors
– Day to day accounting duties (A/P, A/R, GST/PST, Chargebacks, bank reconciliation), as well as all aspects of Payroll (including Deductions at Source)
– Be the contact person for banks and government
– Implement internal controls
– Prepare and coordinate the year-end process and year-end files for accountants
– Manage staff of approx. 6 employees, ensure daily duties are being accomplished
– Act as the “go to” person for any issues that arise
– Prepare T4’s, Relevé 1’s and Relevé 31’s
– CAM Reconciliations
– Prepare CNESST reports as required
– Prepare charge backs to companies and tenants as required
– Post new positions and interview potential candidates as required
– Prepare 1096’s and 1099’s for our US companies as required
Requirements:
– 7-10 years of experience as a Controller in a Industrial/Commercial real estate company
– Must be proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Outlook), as well as Yardi accounting software and Quickbooks (manage any issues related to software)
