Our fashion importer client is looking for an experienced and dedicated Technical Designer to add to their growing team! Working primarily on their intricate knitwear and sweater collections, this role is responsible for creating and correcting technical packs that respect the quality and precision expected by the customer. 
 
 
Responsibilities:

• Develop Tech Packs
• Work on first fits, take detailed FIT measurements
• Writing corrections and recommendations clearly and concisely in order to be understood by overseas suppliers
• Work closely with fellow fit technicians, sales and production coordinators to ensure that timelines are followed, and that styles are up to buyers’ standards.
• Update patterns and colorways

Requirements:

• Have a diploma in fashion design or a fashion related field
• Have 3-5 years of experience creating Tech Packs, sweater experience a bonus!
• Be bilingual (French and English)
• Have excellent knowledge of garment construction and fit
• Exercise good judgement in all aspects of the job – prioritizing tasks, taking FIT measurements, inspecting garments, etc.
• Possess excellent knowledge of grading
• Be able to work under pressure and adapt to last minute changes based on the needs of the business
