Our client, a manufacturer of cold weather apparel and accessories (for men, women and kids), is looking for a Designer/Technical Designer/Fit Spec to join their growing team!!!  This person will be responsible for design and execution of the products, from conceptualization to completion of the final product.

 
Responsibilities:

• Trend research
• Sourcing of trims and materials
• Working with the art department to develop labels and artworks
• Sketching, technical design and tech pack creation
• Working on fits, ensuring proper fit and consistency
• Daily communication with vendors regarding product development
• Working with production team to ensure design is being realized

Requirements:

• Degree in Fashion Design or relevant experience, experience preparing technical designs and creating teck packs
• 3-5 years of applicable experience (bonus if you’ve worked with winter fashion and accessories (hats, gloves, scarves, socks and slippers, base layers)
•Computer skills; Adobe Illustrator / Photoshop, Microsoft Office
• Well organized and a strong attention to detail
• Strong communication skills; both verbal & written
• Flexibility and the ability to adapt to changing environments
• A team player with a positive attitude
• Knowledge of production cycle
• Driven and results oriented
• Knowledge of fit and garment construction
• Ability to multitask, analyze your workload, and assess priorities
