Our client, a distributor of high end womenswear, is looking for a dynamic and results-driven Sales Representative to join their team. The ideal candidate will manage and grow a portfolio of retail accounts, handle product
samples, set up showrooms, implement merchandising strategies, and support their agent network. This role requires a proactive, customer-focused approach and a strong understanding of the wholesale fashion industry.
Responsibilities:
Sales & Account Management
● Build and maintain relationships with existing retail clients, ensuring their needs are
met and exceeded.
● Identify and onboard new retail partners by going on the road to expand our clients
market presence in Quebec.
● Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve targets and grow revenue.
● Handle repeat orders efficiently, ensuring accurate and timely process
Samples, Showrooms, and Merchandising
● Receive and organize product samples, ensuring they are properly catalogued and
stored.
● Set up and maintain showrooms to showcase collections, creating visually appealing
and organized displays for client visits.
● Collaborate with the team to design and execute effective merchandising strategies
highlighting key products and seasonal trends.
● Assist in preparing and presenting collections during buying seasons or trade
shows, ensuring an engaging and professional experience for clients.
● Ensure all samples and showroom spaces are maintained in excellent condition,
reflecting our clients quality and standards
Agent Network Support
● Work closely with agents to support their sales efforts and provide them with the
necessary resources and tools.
● Ensure agents have up-to-date product information, pricing, and promotional
materials.
● Address agent inquiries promptly and provide solutions to challenges they may face.
● Coordinate with agents to align on sales strategies and goals.
Market Insights
● Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and client feedback to
inform strategic decisions.
● Review client and agent sales data regularly to recommend product repeats and
seasonal adjustments.
Requirements:
● Experience: Minimum of 7 years in a sales capacity in the women’s fashion
industry, focusing on European brands or a wholesale environment.
● Portfolio of clients selling to our clients target market
● A valid driver’s license and access to a car for travel.
● Language Skills: Bilingual in English (professional) and French (Native);
● Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; CRM tools are a bonus
● Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel locally or regionally for client visits
and trade shows.
● Other Skills: Strong understanding of fashion retail, including trends,
merchandising, and showroom presentation.
Reporting & Coordination
● Maintain detailed sales records and provide regular updates on sales performance
to management.
● Coordinate closely with internal teams, including logistics, product development,
and marketing, to ensure seamless operations.
