Our customer is a dynamic and rapidly growing healthy food company nestled in Montreal West. We’re on the hunt for a talented, bilingual Senior Food Scientist to join their innovative R&D team. You’ll be at the forefront of creating delicious, healthy snacks. This person will be in charge of:
- R&D in the ready-to-eat industry
- Developing new products from concept to full-scale production
- Creating recipes, making samples, and communicating with customers
- Setting up and managing full-scale production trial
- Creating production forms and finished product specifications
- Performing and managing sensory evaluations on current and new products
- Managing 1 R&D technician
- Organizing and managing multiple projects while meeting deadlines and communicating status
- Optimizing bar recipes to tailor products to production capabilities and processes
- Helping identify and implement cost savings initiatives
- Providing technical R&D support to other departments within the company
- Keeping up with current government regulations concerning ingredients and food labeling
- Understanding of various certifications: Non-GMO, Kosher, Organic, etc.
- Other related tasks
