Our client, a leading menswear importer, is looking for a talented Senior Technical Designer / Merchandiser to join their team!!!
 
 
 
Responsibilities:

• Designing seasonal collections for Dress Shirts + Sport Shirts
• Selecting fabrics + patterns 
• Recoloring patterns 
• Choosing trims: buttons, tapes, accessories
• Shopping stores for market research 
• Creating styles + matching contrasts with precision + style
• Approving trims 
• Reviewing fits 
• Creating SMS tech packs + tracking delivery of SMS
• Sending + approving strike-offs + lab dips
• Reviewing bulk fabrics 
• Creating bulk tech packs for orders + speculations
• Reviewing pre-production + production samples
• Designing line sheets + customer selection CADs 

 
Requirements:

• 5+ years experience in technical design + merchandising (menswear focus is a major plus)
• Strong knowledge of fabrics, garment construction, and fit
• Experience creating detailed tech packs + managing product development timelines
• Adobe Illustrator skills
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively 
• A love for trends and details
