Our client, Canadian-based advertising and media company specialized in place-based advertising, is seeking a dynamic and well-connected Senior Business Development Representative to lead growth initiatives across Calgary and Edmonton. This is a boots-on-the-ground role for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, knows the hospitality scene inside and out, and is ready to drive adoption of innovative communication solutions across restaurants, cafés, bars, and similar establishments.
Responsibilities:
- Own and expand business development efforts in Calgary and Edmonton, with a focus on the hospitality sector.
- Build and nurture relationships with decision-makers at restaurants, cafés, bars, and other venues.
- Actively visit establishments to pitch and promote our suite of communication products.
- Identify new opportunities, negotiate deals, and close partnerships that drive long-term value.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding and client satisfaction.
- Represent the brand with professionalism, energy, and a deep understanding of the local market.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management—preferably in tech, communications, or hospitality.
- Existing, active relationships with restaurants, cafés, bars, and similar venues in Calgary and/or Edmonton.
- A strong local network and deep familiarity with the hospitality landscape.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Self-starter mentality with the ability to work independently and travel frequently within the region.
- Passion for technology and a knack for identifying how it can solve real-world business challenges
