Reporting to the Maintenance Manager
Minimum 5 years of experience within production/industrial environment
Minimum 5-7 years of maintenance mechanic experience troubleshooting pumps, valves & different pieces of machinery
Project Management experience
Ability to communicate to different contractors and vendors, scheduling to come onsite, collecting quotes, planning when work will get done without affecting production.
Qualifications
Knowledge of food manufacturing sanitation requirements preferred
Project Management experience such as communicating to different contractors and vendors and scheduling to come onsite, collecting quotes, planning when work will get done without affecting production, etc.
Mechanical and electrical knowledge of production equipment, along with fault-finding and breakdown skills
Knowledgeable in maintaining Preventative maintenance programs
Coaching / mentoring skills
Have minimum 5 years of production/industrial environment experience, preferably within a food, beverage, ingredients, mixing, blending, and/or packaging environment
Strong mechanical aptitude is required
Must be willing and able to work overtime and occasional Saturdays
Proficient in Microsoft office
Sanitary Welding certification is preferred
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage multiple projects from inception through completion, developing detailed objectives and standards to meet project deadlines & deliverables, and ensuring that all budgetary guidelines are met.
- Assist the department in the ordering of spares, maintain and update records of the plant and equipment.
- Performing Preventative Maintenance on all equipment including forklifts, boilers, and all Production equipment.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair equipment breakdowns both major and minor events.
- Assist with maintaining predictive and preventive maintenance program (CMMS)
- Additional duties as and when required to give full cover i.e. sickness and
- Holiday
- Provide mechanical assistance and one-on-one training to less experienced co-workers.
- Follow SOP’s, GMP’s safety rules, sanitation rules, and good housekeeping procedures.
