We are recruiting for Industrial Electricians for our client in Peru, IL.
They are looking for both PLC & Manufacturing experience and you need to be able to work in both hot & cold environments.
The shifts are from 6:45am to 7:00pm and 6:45pm to 7:00am – both shifts will be required on a rotating basis.
Key member of the electrical team which is responsible for repairs and maintenance for all machinery and equipment such as conveyor systems, hydraulic components and mechanical equipment such as AC/DC drivers and servomotors, pneumatic components, conveyor systems, production machines and equipment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment such as AC/DC drivers and servomotors, pneumatic components, hydraulic components, conveyor systems, production machines and equipment.
Observes all production, finishing and support equipment to determine root cause of malfunction.
Performs necessary maintenance to the equipment and machinery to repair or replace the defective parts
May perform a variety of electrical tests to determine exact cause of issue
Perform adjustments and calibration procedures on various forms of process equipment
Perform Preventative Maintenance as instructed on all equipment/machinery/facility
Make necessary electrical installations and/or repairs, services plant boilers, autoclaves and gas fired ovens.
Works with each department providing necessary electrical support to ensure day-to-day maintenance issues are resolved; and Maintain an electronic log of any highlights occurring during shift coverage.
QUALIFICATIONS:
At least 2 years Industrial Electrical experience in a continuous operating (24/7) manufacturing environment.
Possess hands on knowledge of 480V motors & Servo Motors
Understanding PLC’s required – preferably AB PLC5, SLC500 or Control Logix
Understanding of control devices – encoders, tachs, linear transducers & PID Control
Must have proven experience and ability in mechanical, electrical and electronic maintenance troubleshooting techniques
Must have the ability to demonstrate working knowledge of mechanical/electrical principles/concepts
Ability to read, understand & troubleshoot electrical systems from drawings.
Ability to work with minimal supervision; and proven ability to work in a safe manner.
