Position: Account Manager (GTA Territory)
Our client is seeking an experienced Account Manager to drive sales and support growth throughout Ontario. Reporting to the Sales Manager, the ideal candidate is entrepreneurial, relationship-focused, and motivated by goal achievement.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a high-performing sales hunter, ideally bringing strong relationships within the food manufacturing industry in Ontario.
- Understand customer needs and the competitive landscape to effectively position the company’s products and services.
- Build and maintain strong business relationships with both new and existing customers.
- Identify key decision-makers and influencers to secure new business opportunities.
- Follow up on leads generated through Business Development, Principal Partnerships, and marketing initiatives.
- Proactively introduce and promote key products with tailored messaging.
- Collaborate with internal technical and cross-functional teams to deliver customer solutions.
- Communicate through various channels—phone, video, email, and in-person meetings.
- Manage pricing discussions, contract negotiations, and deal execution.
- Maintain accurate sales activity, pipeline details, and forecasting in Salesforce CRM.
- Participate in monthly sales meetings and report updates on opportunities and challenges.
- Attend trade shows as required and respond to customer needs in a timely manner.
- Perform additional duties as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or a related field is an asset.
- Minimum 3 years of sales experience, preferably in food ingredients or food manufacturing supply.
- General knowledge of ingredient applications and food formulation preferred.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills across multiple stakeholder levels.
- Highly organized with the ability to work independently.
- Demonstrated success in a performance-driven, results-oriented environment.
