As a TIBCO Test Engineer, you will be responsible for the following:
- Reviews and provides input to requirements/design documents.
- Develops or provides input to detailed test plans.
- Designs, maintains, executes, and retests test cases.
- Leads test case reviews.
- Triages and reports test defects and analyzes trends.
- Coordinates defect review meetings.
- Coordinates test environment configurations and maintenance.
- Develops test data where needed.
- Executes SQL commands to manage and verify data.
- Ensures traceability of test cases to requirements.
- Reviews and provides input to installation, implementation, and training materials.
- Supports UAT resources and activities.
- Reports test metrics on resource utilization, defect analysis, and test coverage.
- Manages training/technical issues with testing tools and participates in tool selection.
- Contributes to an ongoing process of improving test efficiency and accuracy through the use of better processes, tools, ideas, and infrastructure improvements.
Required Skills:
- At least 1 year of TIBCO Testing experience
- Should be confident in testing best practices and holding the entire team accountable for Quality deliverables.
- Should be able to develop test scripts, based on the test tools, for functional/automated testing.
- Some Test case development experience.
- Some Test Plan, Requirements Verification Traceability Matrix and Test Report preparation and execution experience.
- Experience with Quality Management and Test integration.
- Excellent Oral and written communication skills required.
- Should be able to diagnose issues during testing.
- Familiarity with conducting production ready (Java and/or PHP) application tests with automated testing methods and tools (e.g., JUNIT, Selenium or equivalent).
- Familiarity with testing Java and Ruby development solutions integrating into large data stores (Oracle Sql Server, My SQL).
- Software design and Java and/or PHP development experience.
- Requirements development and analysis experience.
- Experience with JIRA.
United States Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a DHS Public Trust suitability.
Existing clearance is strongly preferred.
