They are seeking a talented Senior Patternmaker & Fit Technician to join their Montreal team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating precise patterns, ensuring exceptional garment fit, and collaborating closely with design and production teams to bring innovative designs to life.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and refine patterns for a variety of garments, with a focus on PAD.
- Conduct fittings on prototypes and production samples to ensure accurate sizing, proportion, and overall fit.
- Collaborate with designers and production teams to troubleshoot and resolve fit or construction issues.
- Maintain and organize a library of patterns, blocks, and technical specifications.
- Provide technical guidance to junior team members and production staff as needed.
- Ensure patterns meet quality, consistency, and brand standards.
- Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and construction techniques to innovate within the product line.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience as a patternmaker and fit technician
- Strong understanding of garment construction, grading, and fit principles
- Excellent knowledge of patternmaking software PAD
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with design and production teams.
