Our client, a Montreal based leading Home Fashions manufacturer, is looking for a talented Senior Graphics Packaging Coordinator to join their team!!
 
Responsibilities:
 
– Management of the various requests for packaging and distribution of tasks to the team members involved (textile division and table art) in order to meet the deadlines of the different suppliers.
– Follow-up with the team of graphic designers dedicated to packaging to ensure the accuracy of the prepared documents. Check with the quality assurance manager if necessary to comply with labeling standards according to local laws where the product will be sold.
– Research and develop new logos and graphic concepts for the collections in collaboration with the members of the team involved. For both the textile division and the tableware division. Ensure the graphic coherence of the various products and collections.
– Research concepts for photography and coordinate the taking of photos by various external photographers, making sure to optimize costs by combining different projects. Take care of the approval of photos with the people involved (internal and external).
– Preparation of special orders to be printed locally for goods in stock that must be repackaged (stickers for display boxes, labels, and any other necessary packaging). Send and track these orders to ensure they are delivered on time to the warehouse manager.
– Preparation of box mockups for the tableware art division for all new products developed as well as any other specific internal printing needs for models for the textile division.
– Close collaboration with the artistic director to ensure the transition between design and packaging projects.
– Preparation of large format presentation panels and planograms as needed in collaboration with the artistic director.
– Any other graphic task related to packaging required for the department.
 
Requirements:

-The candidate must have a training in graphic design, specializing in packaging combined with at least 5-7 years of experience in the field as a graphic designer and project coordination.
-Knowledge of Adobe suite on a PC platform is essential.
-Strong sense of organization, must be able to  carry out several projects simultaneously
under tight deadlines.
-Strong communication skills in order to delegate needs to the team members (3-4) involved and
to work closely with the artistic director.
-Attention to detail and a job well done is essential. You must have a developed artistic eye to ensure graphic consistency as well as the integration of photos on the various packaging that requires photography.
-Knowledge of the field of home textiles or tableware will be considered an asset, as well as knowledge of studio photography.
