Our client, a distributor of consumer products (located in Lachine), is looking for an experienced Inventory Specialist / Logistics Inbound Coordinator to add to their team!
 
Responsibilities:
 
* Monitor and manage picker reporting for daily inventory location movements
* Track, log, and maintain inventory listings, including locations, inventory movements, alternate warehouse transfers, and inventory accuracy.
* Coordinate and prioritize the receiving of goods across warehouse locations.
* Track and manage inbound shipments, ensuring timely deliveries and space allocation priorities.
* Create and issue receiving reports with accurate shipment and inventory details.
* Review received goods for accuracy and integrity, reporting discrepancies, and issues to management.
* Process and maintain inventory discrepancy records, adjustments, and related transactions.
* Arrange pickups and coordination for empty container returns.
* Coordinate inventory transfers between warehouse locations based on order requirements.
* Initial and supervise inventory cycle counts, ensuring system accuracy against physical inventory.
* Prepare and issue landed cost reports, verifying CBM measurements and freight forwarder charges for accuracy.
* Update and review purchase order receiving dates to maintain accurate reporting.
* Created product conversions and verified receipts and costing for accurate system integration.
* Monitor and manage CHEP equipment inventory and tracking.
* Manage warehouse locations, including creating, locking, and holding inventory locations as required.
 
Qualifications:
 
* Experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, logistics coordination, or supply chain management.
* Strong knowledge of inventory management procedures, inbound logistics, and warehouse processes.
* Proficiency in ERP/WMS systems and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
* Ability to track, analyze, and maintain accurate inventory and shipment records.
* Experience with cycle counts, inventory reconciliation, and discrepancy resolution.
* Knowledge of purchase orders, receiving processes, landed costs, and freight coordination.
* Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reporting.
* Effective communication and coordination skills when working with warehouse staff, carriers, and management.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
* Familiarity with warehouse safety standards and logistics best practices.
* Experience managing CHEP equipment or returnable assets is considered an asset.
