As an import coordinator, you will be communicating daily with overseas suppliers to follow up on pending orders. You will coordinate details on new PO’s from the starting stage to the goods are shipped and to clarify all requirements, from A-Z. 

 

You will coordinate with new suppliers to compare prices, source new items for development, negotiate prices/payment terms.

 

You will also prepare samples to send to overseas makers for price quotations and sample development. You’ll meet with suppliers to discuss pending PO’s and review samples/prices. You are responsible to keep track and ensure that any claims made to vendors for defective goods are cleared.

 

Working closely with the sales representatives to ensure that they have all of the info needed about the products (ie. pricing).

 

Knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools.

Experience in home fashions (bed/bath/kitchen) is considered an asset.
