This is an excellent opportunity for a Junior Fashion Designer who is eager to contribute ideas, develop their skills, and work alongside a team that is open to new approaches and creative thinking.
 
As a Junior Fashion Designer, you will support the design team throughout the product development process, from initial concept and trend research to the creation of finished garments. You will have the opportunity to contribute to seasonal collections, explore new design directions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring creative concepts to life.
 
Responsibilities: 

  • Research fashion trends, colours, fabrics, prints, and silhouettes to inspire new collections.
  • Assist with developing seasonal concepts, mood boards, colour palettes, and design presentations.
  • Create and update sketches, technical drawings, and design specifications.
  • Support the development of styles from initial concept through sampling and production.
  • Collaborate with product development, merchandising, technical design, and production teams to ensure designs meet creative and commercial objectives.
  • Communicate with suppliers and manufacturers regarding samples, fabrics, trims, and design details.
  • Review samples, provide feedback, and assist with ensuring garments meet design expectations.
  • Maintain organized design files, product information, and development documentation.
  • Bring forward new ideas, creative inspiration, and suggestions to help evolve the company’s design direction.

Requirements: 

  • Education in Fashion Design or a related field.
  • Previous experience in a fashion design role, internship, or similar apparel environment.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop; experience with other design software is an asset.
  • Knowledge of garment construction, fabrics, textiles, and apparel production.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • A creative mindset with the confidence to share ideas and contribute to new design directions.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
