Technical Designer (Childrenswear)

 One of our best customers in the Apparel industry is looking for a new employee in their Technical Department.  We have been working with this company for the past 10 years and we have been a key contributor to their growth .
This company sells a majority of their commodity in mid/high end Retailers in the US.

Here is an overview of the responsibilities.
Collaborating with the Design Department you will actively be involved at the Product development stage, working closely with makers to determine the feasibility of producing the garments.
You will act as the liaison with sample management and the approval process ( Lab Dips, Art work, trimmings, specs, etc.) gathering all information in order to go to production.
Providing technical sketches, production kits, specs, sizing and art placement information for overseas communication.
Keeping everything organized in the department and ensuring that timelines are up kept.

2-3 years of technical design experience in the apparel industry
Strong understanding of garment construction
Strong experience on Excel, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator
Good organizational and communication skills
