Brand Manager – Womens Sportswear

Fantastic opportunity for an experienced and talented Brand Manager with experience in Womens Sportswear!

Our client is looking for a Brand Manager that has experience planning, monitoring and meeting budgets determined with the President and VP of Finance. Your role will be to manage and ensure compliance with all budgetary goals, with the goal of improving sales and profits in the US. You will establish performance metrics and goals for the positions you manage.

You will be in constant communication with all sales agencies; tracking their progress and expressing their concerns to relevant departments in house. You will participate in trade shows and work with sales agents and customers, managing all major customers and private label. You will look for and keep a pool of agency prospects in order to replace under achieving sales agencies. You will scout for new territories, work with customer service to assist in issue resolution with customers, salesmen, and you will analyze trends with repeating items. You will scan all orders received from sales agencies in order to compare sales from the present season to past season bookings. You will work closely with design and sales agencies to determine the best marketing tools to use given the yearly marketing budget.
In order to qualify for this position, you will need to have a minimum of 5-7 years experience as a Brand (or Sales) Manager. You should be familiar with the independent specialty store market and have experience managing outside sales reps. You should be familiar with PR and marketing and have strong interpersonal, communication and analytical skills. Able to travel, our client is looking for a goal oriented team player.
