Claims Analyst – Retail

Title:  Claims Analyst



Review all claims (deductions from payments) for all customers and determine if they are valid or not. 

For the deductions that are not valid – must follow through to make sure the claim is reversed and we are paid back.

Claims must be tracked in a spreadsheet along with all details, including the status.

Must coordinate with our accounting office to update the status of the claims on the Accounts Receivable.

Will be coordinating either with our sales teams or directly with the customers to research the claims and gather the details to determine if it is valid or not.

Must be able to manage deadlines as each customer has different guidelines for the allowable dispute period.

Send out monthly summaries to management outlining the status of the claims.

For claims pertaining to defective product – must maintain details by item and analyze the claim to make sure the charges balance to our defective rate.

Keep all paperwork filed and up to date.

Able to enter payables invoices into our ERP


Skills Required:

Strong analytical skills

Strong Excel skills – ability to manage spreadsheet with large amounts of data

Detail oriented.

Able to follow up on outstanding issues with minimal supervision.

Able to manage multiple deadlines.

Strong English communication skills – will be communicating with our sales teams, warehouse personnel and directly with customers in order to research the claims (all of which are located in the US)

Strong English writing skills – must able to communicate clearly with internal customers by email.

Excellent organizational skills with both email and files.

Must be willing to constantly follow up until the claim is resolved.

Basic accounting skills an asset.



Salary Range: $35-$40K

Start Date:  ASAP

Relevant Experience: 2-4yrs a must
